Last Wednesday night, in a cozy studio tucked away in Gastown, we celebrated the launch of our collaboration with the Obakki Foundation. Wine, homemade butternut squash soup, and twinkly string lights all made for a welcome escape from the rain.
We gathered in Obakki’s space to bring some awareness to a group of incredible women living in the world’s largest refugee camp: Bidi Bidi in Uganda. We partnered with the Obakki Foundation to help these women rebuild their lives through their own business initiatives. We were drawn to this specific cause because it helps women create their own agency—they are the ones taking charge to determine a better future for themselves.
To help make this possible, we put together a special kit filled with some of our favourite essential oil products for taking time to yourself, and a bandana with a print designed by the women of Bidi Bidi. The oils were chosen to keep you grounded, while the Obakki bandana can be worn as a symbol of strength.
25% of the net proceeds from this kit will go directly to the women of Bidi Bidi. It will be available to purchase early December, but you can preorder yours by sending an email to Simone at firstname.lastname@example.org
