Everything You Need To Know About Gemini Season

We’ve started dipping our toes into the astrology pool over here at vitruvi HQ. After painfully feeling the effects of Mercury in Retrograde in April (rough, rough times)…our interest in the cosmos has become a bit of an office obsession. The last Sagittarius full moon had our cofounder Sara (a Sagittarius herself) letting us know that her people would be out in full, powerhouse force. We’ve spent a lot of time on Nadine Jane’s website, reading about our signs and decants, whilst oooo’ing and ahhh’ing over the images and how well they channel “us.” It looks like someone finally found out how to make astrology…cool.

Now that we’re entering June, it’s officially Gemini season. The new moon is actually today (June 13th), and like every new moon, it comes with a lot of changes and offers up a new slate. Read on to learn a little more about what to expect during the time of the twins.

Geminis are known for their adaptability, which is what makes Gemini season such a great time to implement change or begin a transition. Since Geminis have a knack for going with the flow, this ease rubs off on all signs during this time. If you have a mutable sign (Pisces, Sagittarius and Virgo) you’ll feel this especially strongly. After the stubborn Taurus season, this is definitely a welcome change that brings forward momentum and energy. If you’re an over-analyzer, take this time as a moment to let go and just say “yes” to things (within reason, of course!!). If this leads to a few impulse decisions, so be it.

Geminis are also known for their communication skills since Mercury is their ruling planet. This month, you might find yourself chattier and more social than usual. Take this as an opportunity to network or say yes to more social events you might typically avoid. Just remember to choose your words wisely, as you’re more apt to blurt something out you might regret later. Along with outward communication, Gemini season and the new moon also invite inward reflection, which make it a prime time to journal. Gemini’s element is air, which also promotes looking inward and vocalizing your deeper thoughts. We actually came across this journalling exercise from mgb mindfullness that we thought was a super simple ritual for welcoming in the new moon. All you need is a pen, some paper, and this prompt:

What is one question in your life you are willing to let go unanswered? This is your opportunity to turn anything that feels “out of control” or like a wild unknown into a space for expansion, exploration, and excitement. Journal about what you are willing to stop trying to plan or figure out and just let be.

Take these next few weeks to embrace Gemini season and propel yourself into summer with enthusiasm and excitement—because by the end of June, 6 planets will be in retrograde and things are about to sloooooow down.
