Eucalyptus 101

The basics:
You probably know Eucalyptus best as the scent you smell at a spa. It’s often used in steam rooms to add an invigorating, herbal aroma to an otherwise steamy (and sweaty!) room. Eucalyptus is one of our most popular essential oils, for plenty of reasons. Its ultra-fresh scent is great to diffuse in the mornings, or when you’re feeling under the weather. Having a bottle of Eucalyptus lying around the house means you can enjoy a mini spa moment, whenever you want.

How we use it:

  • Morning shower – Add 3 drops of Eucalyptus oil to the palm of your hands while in the shower. Rub your hands together and allow the aroma to release and turn your morning shower into a morning ritual that smells like a spa experience.
  • Foot soak – Combine 8 drops of Eucalyptus with 8 drops of Sweet Orange in a foot soak after a long day. Soak your feet for 10 minutes to decompress after you’ve been on your feet all day and allow the oils and aromas to help soothe your feet and decrease swelling.
  • Make up brush cleaner – Add 10 drops of eucalyptus oil to 1 cup of water and use to wash and disinfect your makeup brushes naturally. Simply rinse, wipe and leave to dry overnight. We recommend doing this once every 2 weeks to prevent breakouts caused by bacteria on makeup brushes.

Blends well with: Cedarwood, Lavender, and Sweet Orange.
