DIY: Bergamot Shower Bombs

A fizzy explosion of scented oils and moisturizing ingredients makes for an extravagant bath time, but what if baths aren’t your thing or you don’t have one at your discretion? Can’t blame you for still wanting enjoy some of those bath bombs perks.

Whether you’re looking to add a little luxury to your shower, or you’re feeling under the weather, making your own shower bomb is a quick and effective way to solve both. Bergamot is light and flowery and puts a new spin on a spa’s eucalyptus steam room!

Ingredients:
½ cup citric acid
1 cup baking soda
½ cup corn starch
30+ drops of Bergamot
Water in a spray bottle
1 flexible ice cube tray/mould

Directions:
In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients, then slowly add the oil and whisk the powder until it becomes more of a wet sand, then pack the mixture into each compartment of the ice cube tray. Leave overnight, then pop them out onto a towel for a few hours. Store whatever cubes you aren’t using in an airtight container.

When you’re ready to indulge, place one or two of the cubes at the bottom of your shower and let the water create a mist of bergamot to wake you up...not that you needed another reason to stay a bit longer in the shower.
